Everyone has their system, still, may I offer you mine. I found this different and very handy. I have used it while building several K2's.
I sorted by type of component, and then, I sorted by value. I taped the capacitors to looseleaf notebook paper. I labeled the parts by value, and by part number. I then put the pages into a large ring binder.
in the end, I had all the loose parts taped and labeled on looseleaf paper and in the binder. Yes, this took some time. during that time, however, I invetoried the parts, and familiarized myself with what some of the unusual (for me) ones looked like.
However. It so reduced time in finding parts, confirming the right part, crossing off the part as installed, cleaning up and putting away after a construction session, that I think it saved me time across the project.
Have fun!
