Good Evening,
The season changed this week. From wet to dry in only a few days. The temperature changed too. One day I awoke to 39 degrees only to have it hit 85 by 1 PM. The last few days have been over 90 degrees up here and nasty hot in the valley. I ventured off the mountain once but after sitting in a parking lot my truck was unpleasantly hot. Reminded me of my time in Albuquerque where I wanted gloves for driving so my hands would not burn on the wheel.
Propagation was iffy this week. On twenty meters I was unable to land a fox while those around me could. At one point I walked out to see if the antenna was still hooked up! During the rest of the week propagation was plagued by various rates of QSB. Sometimes there were multiple types occurring simultaneously. Hopefully the contesters have smoothed the ionosphere a bit by their relentless calling. The multi-kilowatt stations should invigorate the skies :)
Please join us tomorrow afternoon and evening.
