Like the FT1000MP, the K3 includes circuitry so that the DC signal "keys the 
amp" occurs about 8 msec before RF output. The 8 msec is adjustable by a 
menu setting. The 8 msec default works fine with my Ten Tec Titan 425 amps 
in both QSK and semi-QSK mode.
