[Elecraft] XV daisy chaining with non-Elecrafts

Hi Don et al.

Protocol analyzer - no problem. Microcontroller programming no problem
either.

Problem = time :-)

I like neat solutions. Often I cannot find them so I have to make them
myself.

I have no plans for neither an K2 nor K3, of K4 for that matter.

Bo,

The XV transverters can be daisy-chained for the key line and the IF
coax cables - see the diagram on page 12 of the Owner's manual.

I would think it would be easier to select the proper transverter by
merely pressing the power on/off switch of the one you want rather than
trying to reverse engineer the AuxBus code to select one transceiver -
But than I am not familiar with your skills nor your available tools to
decipher the AuxBus signaling required.

Of course, one alternative is to use an Elecraft K2 or K3 for the IF
transceiver. Either will integrate nicely (and seamlessly) with your
set of transverters - the K2 would need the KIO2 option, and the K60XV
option makes transverter use easier. The K3 needs only the KXV3 or
KXV3A option to run the transverters, everything else is in the basic K3/10
