You actually tune VFO A while pressing REV since REV puts you on your TX
frequency. I first learned to do this with one hand on the TS-930S ~25
years ago ("REV" = "T-F SET" in 930 nomenclature). Using my left hand (I'm
right-handed) I press REV with my left index finger and tune VFOA with my
left pinky. I've done this for so many years I don't even think about it
since the REV/TF button and VFO are in similar positions for the K3 and 930
(I also have BIG hands).
Even though I have a KRX3, I'm in diversity 99.9% if the time and only use
split receivers for truly massive pileups (i.e. spread over >5 kHz). I have
a macro set up to do that quickly and another to return to diversity when
I'm done.
