[Elecraft] K3

I haven't used the CW Skimmer for long, but so far I have noticed that when
the signals are in the noise, just like any other decoder, it doesn't work
as good as a pair of ears feeding a human brain.

Skimmer is a tool, but it has limitations. If you want the really weak ones,
the PC isn't going to help at all.

I personaly like using the knobs myself, and even when the PC is connected,
I use the knobs on the K3 for most functions.

I don't think using a computer with a rig is so wonderful that it makes
operating a stand-alone radio obsolete. I enjoy tuning the bands without a
PC. But I also enjoy the tools, when I want to use them.

There is no right or wrong way. Some hams like 1500w amps. High power for me
is 200w from the Mark-V. I enjoy using 5w and lower if it will work.

For me it's all good. The K1 into a wire in a tree, or the PC running lots
of software with the K3.

It's really about different strokes for different folks. But it's all good.
