[Elecraft] K3 - Digital Noise Reduction

I'm not sure if you're using SSB or CW, but I have to completely and utterly disagree with you both on this.  The NR for CW, in MY opinion is NOT aggressive enough.  Back around Firmware Version 2.22 (before they really started messing with the NR) it used to work VERY VERY Well, almost like a noise gate.  It was instant (going from one setting to the other had NO filter build up time), and it wouldn't cause the audio to drop out when you adjusted the Width control in a QSO. (That just drives me Freaking BATTY!)
Lyle told me that he wasn't able to go back to the way it used to be Circa late 2008, why I'm not exactly sure, but that being the case, I have to say that 1-1, 1-3, and some times 2-3 work fairly well for me.. even though they're not what they used to be.

Now, if you're talking about SSB, I would appreciate that you play around with the 5-1 through 8-4 adjustments and kindly leave my hardly working 1-1 through 4-4 (cw mode) NR filters as they are... well, that is, unless Lyle can figure out how to get it back to the way it used to be!
