[Elecraft] Shift control quirk?

My shift control knob was also slipping initially when my K3 was new. It was
so bad that Elecraft sent me a replacement. But while waiting for the
shipment I noticed that pushing the control many times seemed to help. After
some pushes, I don't know how many, maybe 10-20, it was OK. Now I have had
the K3 for more than half a year without any shift control problems and I
have so far had no use for the replacement control.
