Yes, to what James said and I might add that use of the perimeter eves or
balcony is a good choice as is one of the Budipole antennas on a tripod that you
can take in and out of the house. Put in a good ground rod and away you go. It
is amazing how well and inventive the manpack and QRP group does with low power
and simple antennas.

Tony,
The Elecraft antenna tuners do a really fine job for stealth
antennas. I live in a garden home and have an antenna farm that is
completely in my attic. I use a simple long wire on 80/40 that works
well. It is 54' in total length, the ends are bent down 11' to the
attic floor with 44' out over the garage. Force 12 makes a five band
vertical that is only 9 feet tall that work well on 20 thru 10 meters.
Just evaluate what kind of room you can grab. You can get an idea of
what I did from my website. There is a link at the bottom of this page.
