A tidbit that I came across a while back is to set both denoiser
parameters to 00. Then adjust each one a unit or two forward and back.
The effects of the two parameters and their interaction becomes clearer.
This might help you follow Don's advice.
I've played with the settings on my DSP unit in K2 #5957 with varying
effects. I've found it really helpful on cw and, for me, sort of useless
on ssb. YMMV. Good luck.
