Good Evening,
   Conditions were unsettled this afternoon. QSB on twenty meters had some folks at S2 one moment and S9 the very next. Forty meters had some QRN as is normal for summer on this band but only Scott was able to reach this far west. Lately forty meters has not been very productive. Maybe we should change the time.
   Temperatures were mostly cool. Everyone was cooler than my 95 degrees; even those south of me in California. Brian kept reporting 60 degree weather which was the coolest report by far. ND, MN, and CT were all at 72 degrees with clouds. Here I will have a hot few days. Until Wednesday this spate of heat will stay above 90 degrees dropping over the next few days into the 60s.

   On to the lists =>

 On 14049.5 kHz at 2200z:
K1THP - Dave - CT - K3 - 686
AB9V - Mike - IN - K3 - 398
W0CZ - Ken - ND - K3 - 457
K0DTJ - Brian - CA - K3 - 4113
N0AR - Scott - MN - K2 - 4866
W8OV - Dave - TX - K3 - 3139

 On 7045 kHz at 0000z:
N0AR - Scott - MN - K2 - 4866
K0DTJ - Brian - CA - K3 - 4113
K6PJV - Dale - CA - K3 - 1183
NK6A - Don - CA - K3 - 3569

   Hopefully one day the bands will improve. I keep checking my antenna to see if it is not broken. Every time I climb the ladder I find it is still in place with no joints broken. I'll use my telescope to save the roof during these hot days. Upside down and backwards is OK as long as I can see the lines at 80x or so.
   Until next week stay cool and please send me some rain. I am sure the fire danger has increased this weekend so a nice round of fog from the Pacific would help moisten the forests.
   73,
      Kevin. KD5ONS (Net Control Operator 5th Class)
