How about a weighted stand-up expanded front panel for a K3 that uses
that ethernet connector on the bottom of the K3 box. Then the K3 box
itself could be remoted on the other end of a cat5 cable. For
portable operations, you just unplug the stand-up front panel and use
the physical front panel.
This could have separate displays for radio A and radio B, equal full
size knobs for the radios with separate "small knobs" that are always
in use, band buttons, etc.
Or maybe separate standups for radio A and radio B. Radio B plugs into
Radio A standup which plugs into K3.
Lot of possibilities in that direction.
73, Guy.
