[Elecraft] K3 Resistance Check Failed

Hi,

Yesterday I spent several hours assembling my new K3 to the point of resistance measurements on page 45 of the assembly manual.  U12 is reading 16-18 ohms instead of the specified >500ohms.  I've since exchanged emails with support with the usual tips on trying a different meter, reversing leads, checking connectors etc.  None have changed the readings.  I removed the front panel and separated the DSP board from the front panel board.  With the entire front panel removed the resistance is ~5 k ohms.  When plugging in only J51 (yes, very carefully) on the DSP board the resistance is again ~16 ohms.  Plugging in the other connectors on the two boards results in ~ 5 k ohms.  I've done a very through inspection of the RF and DSP boards and have found nothing at fault.  

I would appreciate any thoughts and ideas on how to reslove the problem.
