Coiling the down-the-pole ground wire in a concentric
circle on the bottom end of a power pole is the accepted
method of achieving "ground" and isn't because of "lazy
electricians".  "Electricians" don't erect power lines,
"linemen" do. (;-)

I'm a retiree from the Montana Power Company, FWIW.
