No, you're not the only one.
Some people use off-band split, so auto conformance of TX band to RX would
break that. Since a double press of A>B brings B on band very quickly, it
does not appeal to me as a great step saver. The logging programs set the
split explicity by writing the logger-computed TX frequency directly to the
VFO.
I would test your second question but I have the KRX3 installed. I suspect
(don't know) that a lot of the particulars are kept in KRX3 dsp memory and
so not available for 1 RX operation.
What happens when you hold BSET button with no KRX3?
