[Elecraft] K3 monitor control

Hi Elecrafters:
I am a relatively new K3 user and operate 90% CW and the rest SSB and PSK.
I note that the monitor level for CW and SSB can be adjusted independently,
which is fine. On CW I always use headphones. But when I operate SSB, I
sometimes use headphones and sometimes a loudspeaker. When using headphones
I like monitoring the audio by turning up the monitor to a comfortable
level. When unplugging the headphones I wish the monitor would turn off to
prevent audio feed back. Alternatively I wonder if, a second, quick push of
the knob could turn off the monitor without having to turn the level to 0.
Turning it on would be the same quick second push by which the monitor level
would return to the level it was set to, before switching off.
Just a thought
