[Elecraft] K3 TX light on

Gene,

I had this problem with HRD/DM780 and reported it to Elecraft several weeks
ago while doing a field test. No one could reproduce it. Here's how I
eventually resolved the problem:

1) VOX is ON, my normal setting for all modes.
2) I was using HRD to communicate from DM780 to the K3 (see DM780->Program
Options->PTT).
3) I changed the selection to "None", i.e. "via soundcard PTT or radio VOX".

With this setting the K3 now returns to receive after a DM780 transmission.

I am convinced something changed between FW 3.44 and 3.47 that causes HRD
communication to the K3 in this particular command sequence to fail. In my
case the failure rate was around 50%. With VOX OFF communications works
with 3.47 onward, but since I normally leave VOX on for all modes, I didn't
want to have to remember to change it to use Data A modes.

Please let me know if this resolution works for you. If so, I'd like to
reopen the issue Elecraft.
