You are correct, N1MM Logger is sending the MD; command before
the FA; command. When going from 40 to 20 meters, this changes
the mode on 40 meters to USB then switches to 20. In the other
direction, the mode on 20 is changed to LSB then the K3 is
switched to 40 meters (where it had been set to USB when leaving
the band).
This is a bug in N1MM Logger.
