[Elecraft] W2 Review?

Hi Gary
I agree with you on the analogue meters, you cant beat them.
I was hoping that Elecraft or LDG would bring out a meter for the K3 like the LDG DM7800 that you could plug into the K3. I can barely see the K3's Smeter and other meter readings.
The W2 is also very expensive for what It is. I would rather put the money towards something N8LP's meter or the Wavenode WN2 which includes a spectrum analyzer with much better functionality. The Wavenode sensors are also priced well..
Elecraft seems to use very small cores for its directional coupler, it does not strike me as the right size ferrite cores for a 2kw meter. However I am no expert on this. I have looked inside many wattmeters as a basis for comparison.
We fortunate having so many choices in a free market that can make everyone happy, to each their own!
