What power, Knut? If you have waded through the posts, you saw that I
observed that my K3's SWR is off pretty close to the difference on the table
below on some bands at 100 watts, but is FB at 10 watts.

The difference is that on mine the biggest error is on 160/80 meters and
there's virtually no error on 10 meters, and the error is confined to powers
between 13 and 100 watts, with the greatest error at the power level at
which the KPA100 switches in. That agrees with Wayne's observation that the
SWR measurement in the K3 is the most accurate at the top of each power
range.

Typically, SWR meters using in this application tend to be inaccurate at
higher SWR's . Their purpose is to show when a match condition occurs - SWR
1.0:1 - with good accuracy. They aren't intended to function as impedance
measuring devices.

Hello,

Please, please, does anybody remember the original poster's problem anymore?

Quote:

The results I got for 2:1 VSWR are as follows:-

               LP-100 K3
160 1.99 1.8
80 1.99 1.8
60 1.99 1.8
40 1.95 1.8
30 1.97 1.6
20 1.97 1.4
17 1.97 1.3
15 1.96 1.2
12 1.96 1.5
10 1.96 1.4

I am repeating. This makes no sense given that he is using a parallel
combination of two dummy loads which results in a 2:1 SWR. I am repeating:
Either there is something wrong with the data or the K3 is faulty. Errors
this large should not occur with properly functioning equipment.
