Dave,
Thank you for the refresher. While I have read the manual 3 times, I get
into a pattern and when someone asks a question, it helps me "refresh". The
question was a good one.

Unless I'm misunderstanding this, this is just the standard memeory
mechanisum, documented on pg 16 of Owners Manual rev D1.
Set up the rig the way you want it, with freq, mode etc. press V->M,
turn VFO-A to find an empty memeory, as shown on VFO-B display,
complete with a number, you can give it a alphanumeric label but
rotating VFO-B to pick position and VFO-A to pick character. When all
done, press V->M again.
To use one, press M->V, rotate VFO-A to find the one you want and
press M->V again.
