[Elecraft] [K3] yet another K3-to-Titan425-QSK-interface problem

I have 2 425's.  

3-4 weeks ago, the one with the CONTROL MODE switch on the front let the
magic smoke out, visibly, via the tube-cooling smokestacks.

I pulled things apart and set the amp in the triage area, where it has sat
since.  Have looked into it and the 81219 INPUT BIAS board has some smoked
components on it.  

The K3 is fine, afaIct.  Been working plenty of DX barefoot on 40M c-w and
ssb.

Unfortunately, during the 3-4-week interval, I have dis-remembered which
mode, ie, 

1. " key-the-amp-with-external-keyer-let-the-amp-keyloop-key-the-K3 "
                        or  
2. " key-the-K3-let-its-keyloop-key-the-amp ", 

I was using when the smoke appeared.

I had tested both modes in QSK, and whatever mode I was using seemed to work
okay until the day of the magic smoke cloud.

Now I'm nervous and jerky about connecting things back together using the
spare amp.

I sure could use some help on:

1. a timing diagram for events associated with the "Keying" ports on P17 of
the K3 manual relating events like key-down of both the PADDLE and KEY to
r-f out at ANT1, and 

2. a cookbook diagram, visual or verbal, of what K3 port to connect where on
the 425, in both modes 1. and 2. described above, please.
