[Elecraft] [K3] RIT encoder has become flaky

As an example -- while slowly turning the RIT knob, the frequency display will go through:

.83
.84
.85
.84*
.85*
.84*
.84*
.83*
.84*
.85*
.86
.87
....etc.

The erroneous readouts are starred.

This is repeatable, though not necessarily with the same numbers. This would seem to be an encoder problem. Has anyone else experienced this?
