[Elecraft] KX1 initial LCD test

"XV 1.6e" is a transverter part. I bet it got tossed into the wrong bin in
the kitting area. I'm sure Elecraft will send you a replacement on Monday if
you ask.

The good news is it lights up, so power must be getting to at least some of
the parts. :-)

Thanks Craig.  It was the only 28 pin IC included.  I wonder what the XV
1.6e designation is?  I guess I will find out soon.

U1 appears to be the wrong part. It should say "KX1 1.02".

When I power up on the initial board test, I get only two backward h's in 
the 
right portion of the LCD. 

Any idea what the problem is?  I went back over the work and reheated solder

joints.  I went through the manual again checked that I had instsalled all 
to this point. U1 seems 
to be seated okay in the holder.
