During the WPX SSB contest I have noticed the same low output that others have noticed after ATU TUNE.  I just wanted to add one comment.  

After low output is remedied with TUNE, the firmware seems to remember that fact.  That is, when I return to that vicinity after S&P QSOs elsewhere (ATU flashes), the output seems OK.  TUNE doesn't seem necessary unless ATU TUNE has just been used to reduce SWR.
