[Elecraft] new K3 owner sn 497, need help with choosing microkeyer cable

Hello all Elecrafters,
microHam sells two different cables for the K3 to use with the  
microKeyer/microKeyerII one that uses a front microphone jack and the  
other that uses the rear microphone jack. Aside from the obvious, one  
doesn't clutter the front panel with a cable all the time, is there  
any other advantages to one over the other? Also anyone out there that  
has the original microKeyer and upgraded to the microKeyer II please  
explain what the advantages are with using it on the K3.
