[Elecraft] [K3] KREF-EXT Option

This morning a friend who is thinking of ordering a K3 was asking me if he 
could lock it to an external frequency standard. At the moment there is a 
blanked hole labelled "REF." next to the KEY OUT socket on my K3 and no 
reference to the above option on the Elecraft website that I can find, other 
than on page 17 of the Owner's Manual Revision D2. Anyone know when it might 
become available and what frequency would be required?
