[Elecraft] K-3 Remote Power ON - OFF

Art,

I don't have specific information about it, so I can just give a guess.
If I were implementing a remote power on/power off sequence, I would
activate the relay for power on. Whether I de-activate it after a few
seconds, I don't know, but for certain on power off, I would first
deactivate the relay and then send the PS0 command to the K3.

If I sent the PS0 first and then deactivated the power on relay, there
is a chance of a delay between those two event, and the K3 could power
off and then power on again because ACC pin 8 is still grounded.
In rapid-fire sequence, it may not make a difference, but why not do it
in the best order first and be done with any possible problems.
