No, firmware can not change the signal flow in the K3 hardware 
that routes the transmit signal through circuitry (including 
roofing/bandpass filters) common to the main RX.

You could contact K3CT who has written most of the K3 support 
code in N1MM.  However, most users would probably object to 
the constant flopping of VFOs and entry windows in N1MM Logger. 
SO2V is a unique operating style and was never intended to be 
a cheap man's SO2R.  Since there isn't a single traditional 
transceiver - including the K3/KRX3 - that permits receiving 
on one receiver while transmitting on the other, SO2V is not 
a suitable substitute for SO2R anyway.
