[Elecraft] simplest way to protect subrx from high RF on RX antenna?

Having recently gotten the K3 going with the 2nd receiver, I would
like to try listening and then
TRANSMITTING with the 2nd rx using a separate antenna. Obviously, a
relay to open the rx antenna
feedline or shorting the input would do the job. Where would you
locate these relays? Is controlling them
via the KEY OUT (for the amp) sufficient? Other issues?

I would really like to NOT blow out the front end of the 2nd rx...
