[Elecraft] WD6DBM Builds for the Cycle

I can relate to that. A few weeks ago I had a complicated spinal
procedure performed. Recovery is a slow process and the outcome will
not be clear for a few more weeks. Last weekend the proper solution to
my post-operative doldrums solidified in my head and I quickly ordered a
K3 kit along with a KAT3 and KPA3. While not quite as absorbing as a K2
build, it is well suited to the brain being slowed by the powerful pain
control needed to otherwise maintain one's sanity.

This morning I have cleared space on my desk and just now begin the
assembly of K3 #3294. My last K3 was #77. It will be interesting to
see what has changed some 3200+ units later.

73,

It was a total joy to build (and operate), a feeling I had not had since the Heathkit days. Madness soon followed, along with the biggest selloff of ham gear (and other gear) since my college days when I struggled to pay the rent. I built a nearly fully optioned K3 along with an XV-144. That wasn't nearly enough fun so I built a fully-optioned QRP K2, interspersed with pile of mini-module kits.
