If I read Steef's question right, it was not about erasing a stored CW
message, but removing a programmable function assignment from one of the
"Mx" buttons. The answer, as provided by KB8AP earlier today, would be
to tap REC, then the "Mx" button in question, then REC again

By the way, the function isn't stored in the CW memory - it's a button
override in firmware. The CW is still stored in the memory, and you can
regain access to it as above.
