[Elecraft] Replacing batteries in the KX1

Jerry,

The battery connections unplug from the RF Board with a keyed 2
conductor plug. It plugs in near the end of the antenna tuner (the end
near the DC coaxial power plug). Should it become unplugged while
changing batteries, just put it back in - I believe most KX1 owners
actually remove the plug when changing batteries just because it is
easier that way. The two "lugs" on the connector housing should point
toward the projecting tab on the mating connector on the KX1 board. Try
it, you should be able to feel it with your fingers.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how best to avoid inadvertently disconnection of wires when putting in new batteries while, say, in the Amazon rain forest in Ecuador where I'll be next month?
