[Elecraft] K1 STP shift?

Curt,

While it is rare to have to re-do adjustments, there are several
possible reasons that C13 might have to be re-adjusted.
1) It was not set correctly in the beginning,
2) The crystal drifted a bit as it aged (not likely 200 Hz change, but
possible)
3) one of the capacitors changed value (again, not likely, but possible)
4) The C13 setting moved through vibration (but most of them seem to
'stick in place')

The only other thing I can think of is :"I don't know, it just happened".

Surprisingly, no responses to my calls, so checked transmit frequency with another receiver when pitch of a signal received on the K1 was 600Hz , found transmit frequency was off by about 400 Hz. Opened the K-1 up, set the switch to test, sure enough the test note was about 200 Hz. Adjusted C13 to bring the pitch to STP, 600Hz, closed up, now transmit frequency is on the money and my calls are readily answered.
