[Elecraft] K2 SELF RESETTING FUSE PROBLEM?

John,

In several years of K2 repair experience, I have not found one instance
of failure with the resettable fuse. It is rated at 5 Amps. Of course,
yours could alway be the first failure. Tap DISPLAY and monitor the
actual current carefully through several shutdowns. If the current does
not spike to near 5 Amps, then yes, I would replace the fuse, but if
your actual current shows any indication of sudden increases (spikes),
then the fuse is likely doing its job properly and the source of your
problem is elsewhere (likely in the PA transistors).
