Bill,
I suspect that the reason this may not be tackled near-term is that a
small percentage of users would need / use it.
For me, I don't see that there's any advantage to being able to push a
button on the radio over pushing a button on the amp to accomplish the
same purpose.
If you're amp is remote, just put an external switch in the PTT line
between the K3 and your amp and mount it adjacent to the K3.
