[Elecraft] Squelch and sub receiver not working?

Dear group,

 

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong here, but I set SQ MAIN=SUB POT.  As I
understand it, with this setting the main receiver and sub receiver squelch
is now controlled by the RF/SQL SUB pot.  Squelch works fine when using the
main receiver, and I can see the squelch setting on the sub readout on the
LCD.  However, switching over to the sub receiver, when I try to adjust
squelch, all I get is a SQL=NA message, and squelch levels are not
adjustable.  Is there something I'm not doing right here?  How do I adjust
squelch on the sub to obtain full quieting?
