[Elecraft] K3: honest question re Audio Peak Filter

I did a second experiment that gives another perspective:

This time the K3 selectivity was 50hz before applying APF.  The conclusion I
come to after listening to this recording is by narrowing K3 bandwidth down
to 50hz, you gain most of the benefit of the APF.
 
(the APF center frequency was adjusted to match the received signal)
