Good evening,
   Twenty meters was weak to me this evening; or at best one way.  I could hear the folks Tom worked but while I was calling those same folks could not hear me.  I seemed to be shooting right over them.  The books say propagation should be reciprocal.  In practice, theory is not so accurate!  The same is often true with QSB of various types.  However, forty meters seemed stronger.  Even the noise was stronger ;)  But that is normal on forty.  
   I was receiving weather reports in the 50s while the temperature was dropping where I was sitting.  It had been sunny most of the day but during the first net heavy fog rolled in.  Not much breeze but the temperature had dropped rapidly.  I could feel it seeping into the house as I worked you all.  I turned on the space heater near me but it does not heat very rapidly.  By the time the second net rolled around it was more comfortable.  Both the heater and the extra logs I had tossed into the fire were raising the temperature in the house.  Currently it is more than warm enough so I am thinking of stepping onto the deck to cool off a little!

   I think I have the serial numbers correct but I am missing at list one rig type on the twenty meter list.  A fill would be nice ;)  My pile of wood from two years ago is almost gone.  The ten degree weather of last week used it rapidly.  Luckily it was very dry hemlock so I burned it at the right time to get the most heat per chunk of wood at the coldest temperatures thus far.  Once that pile is done I won't have to push my wheelbarrow so far.  The lion's share of wood is right outside the front door.  That last wood I cut and piled is further so my planning is working well.  I thought I would get into next year before I got to this year's wood but weather conspired against me.  However, it is a great time of year to spend at the bench.
