It is Key Out - not amplifier PTT.  The difference is subtle but 
simple.  However, if you don't want your amplifier keyed, put 
the amp in standby.

That's right - it does.  Again, the signal is "Key Out" not 
"Amplifier PTT."  Key out should ALWAYS follow the straight 
key (or internal keyer) input regardless of whether the K3 
is producing power.
