Good Evening,
Forty meters was normal: noisy and full of QSB :) But it was nice to hear folks from all over. Afterward I would have enjoyed a walk in the quiet but the rain was pretty heavy. Guess I need to invest in some rain gear this year so I can walk no matter what. The heavy weather does keep the jay wars under control. I wonder why Hitchcock did not use them as his models? When there are scraps of potatoes, popcorn, or rice they enjoy my habit of putting out for them. I also have two basins and a dog dish on the deck where they can wash and water themselves.
From the list of reports it appears the East, Colorado, Wyoming, and now here are getting cold. Tomorrow night I am due for more snow. The folks south of the border report 80 degree weather. Currently the stream of clouds is aimed slightly north of me. I did get one peek at the sun just before it set. I expect the folks in Washington are getting the heavy rain I received earlier today. Those south of me did mention rain earlier in the week so this pattern is moving slowly northward. Hopefully we will get to the southern part of this stream so it will be warm rain instead of snow.

Try to save some of those chocolate bunnies for later so you don't get sick! I will watch the sun (remotely of course) over the next week to see if the next CME is aimed earthward. I will also monitor the birds and flowers just so I know the area news. Hopefully the trilliums in the wind blown area will come back. There were a few hundred in that area in years past. I do miss the calypso orchids but expect they will be dormant until conditions are just right; they are quite sensitive indicators.
   Until next week stay well,
      73,
Kevin. KD5ONS (Net Control Operator 5th Class)
