[Elecraft] K3 - PA Temperature Sensor problem

I installed the KPA3 amp module and I've tried to calibrate the PA Temp. 
sensor, but cannot get the setting to go below 87 degrees C turning the 
VFO A dial. Although the dial continues to turn, the temp. setting will 
not go lower than 87. (FWIW Highest it will go is 127 - not sure if 
that's relevant.)

I've checked and confirmed the following:
1. Tech MD is set to "on"
2. KPA3 is set to "PA nor"
3. I did not have the rig on all day and the temp. of the room is about 
24 degrees C. As soon as I turned the rig on, I immediately went to the 
PA Temp setting on the Config menu.

FP Temp is reading correctly at 25. The fans come on as soon as the rig 
is turned on.

Any ideas?
