[Elecraft] Mechanical bug contact bounce

To get rid of the "dot" contact bounce, erratic sounding dots, that I experienced I put a .22 microfarad across the keyline on K3 side of keyline and a 10K resistor in series with the key line on the bug side of the keyline. On a 2nd receiver my two bugs now sound like a electronic keyer.
If you use a bug on the K2 you can try a 3300 ohm.

I am still playing with the K3 a friend had me build for him. Lucky for me he doesn't know the job is finished. My K3 is on order.
So many great features on this radio. I love the unsquelched band scan for monitoring quiet bands.
The 160m noise fighting equipment is the best I have ever used.
The minimum bandwidth of the dsp is perfect. Some time back I spent a lot more money for a radio that has a too wide dsp minimum bandwidth.
                                                Aloha,
                                                     Bryce, kh6at
