Good Evening,
This morning I awoke to a fog induced rain. The heavy fog drifts in over the ocean and seeps over the mountains. The fir trees mine the mist for water. Since I live under three very large fir trees the rain was heavy on my roof. Only feet away the yard was dry. I did not notice any fog coming in last night as I waited for Venus to appear. I missed Mercury and Mars with my binoculars so I am going to take the telescope tonight to find them.
I just read the news on SpaceWeather. The solar stream is still hitting the earth. During the week this has caused much noise on 20 meters for my daily skeds. Enough so that I spent a number of hours revamping an old antenna. It is now in position as high as my inverted V with a much flatter angle. It is aimed E-W and seems to give a little better propagation than the V in those directions. What is much better is the noise rejection.
I got a note early today from Tom. He is going to be off tomorrow doing some volunteer radio work so we can not use him as a relay in the Midwest. If anyone else would like to fill the role please offer your services. It does not take much to surpass my feeble efforts but Tom is great at dragging in weak signals for me. Any help would be very much appreciated by me and by those who make the effort to join us.

Please join us tomorrow evening.
