Dick, 

Another user with the PW-1 manual informed me that the 
Band Voltage is not used in the PW-1.  It is only looped 
through the ACC connectors.  

That being the case, transcoding the K3 CAT data to CI-V 
is the only practical way to control the PW-1 from the K3. 

George, as far as I know there is no way other than a 
dedicated controller that would take the BCD data and 
generate a pseudo CI-V stream with the "center of the 
band" for each band.  A PIC could probably be programmed 
to perform the function but it might be tricky to get 
the PW-1 to accept it as an Icom transceiver.
