[Elecraft] K3 ACL setting for PSK31

You must use either a 2.7 or 2.8khz filter for transmitting all modes except 
AM and FM, which require separate filters.  The bandwidth displayed on your 
waterfall is discretionary - I like a display of 2.5khz or more so I do not 
miss any signals.  If a very strong signal is controlling the AGC, I try to 
get it outside the pasband by changing frequency.

You need to see which filter slots are occupied in your K3.  The 
recommendation is to put the narrowest filter in slot 1, building up to 
widest filters in slot 5.  Slots can be left unoccupied and do not have to 
be used consecutively.  You can turn ON any number of filters for receiving, 
but only one filter for transmitting.  The latter must be the 2.7 or 2.8khz 
filter, and you designate it by its filter slot number.  You should activate 
all filters for CW and data mode reception; all filters of 1.8khz or wider 
for LSB, USB, and AM reception.  Others will differ on this suggestion.

I don't think the Linux firmware loader has a filter assignment tab.  This 
makes it easier to set up the filters.  So you will do it in the CONFIG menu 
on the radio.  It will load all firmware versions into the K3.

Version 2.46 is the latest "released" firmware, and so is the latest version 
directly accessible by the firmware utlity.  Versions since that one are 
"beta" software, still under test but usually fully operational.  Features 
get added first to the "beta" versions, and then subsequently are blessed as 
"officially released".  To find the "beta" software you need to set your 
internet browser as specified on the Elecraft website's download page.  It 
can not be downloaded by the firmware loader.
