[Elecraft] UK Elecraft net report for Sunday 12th October

This week we had another contest to contend with, some European stations 
were  less than 2 KHz away and didn't seem to hear us! An eventual move 
to 3653 KHz cleared the contest stations and gave us the opportunity to 
hear the weaker stations. It was certainly a morning for linears and 
outdoor dipole antennas. Having a panoramic adapter was very useful to 
see where a clear channel appeared for more than a few seconds, these 
adapters are useful for nets and ragchewing!

Topics included:

Antennas for CQ WW.
Linear fan noise and the K3 noise gate.
Softrock/panoramic receivers and the K3
Switched capacitor filters and removing the hiss/artefacts from the K3 
receive audio.
Headsets/microphone selection.
