Note, too, that you still have the full 1 ppm accuracy with the optional
TCXO. 

What method 3 will give you when it's added to the firmware is the ability
to dial it in for somewhat better than 1 ppm by inputting the
temperature/frequency data.

Please review your errata sheet that came with the radio.  The firmware is 
not yet ready for this calibration method.
