[Elecraft] Example of great Elecraft service

I just received K3 number 968 last Friday. I quickly began assembling the
kit and made a dumb mistake. I did not notice all the small LED's on the
front panel. When I tightened down the screws on the front panel I cracked
one of the LED's because I did not have it aligned with it's slot. I
finished assembly but had a bad LED.
On Tuesday morning I e-mailed Scott in the parts department about my error.
He quickly replied back and sent the parts I needed at no charge. They
arrived today and my radio is back together with all it's LED's. That's a
two day turn around time.
I know how everyone raves about Elecraft's service but this is a prime
example of why I choose Elecraft products. I have built 4 K2's, one K1 and
one KX1 and I was still amazed at the high quality of the K3 kit. It went
together easy (except for my error), was easy to align and works great.
I ask myself, what kind of service would I have gotten from some of the
other radio suppliers out there? Most likely nowhere close to Elecraft.
I just wanted to thank the staff at Elecraft and especially Scott for
service above and beyond what is normally expected from a company.
