[Elecraft] CW-WPX operation

Wow! I operated with the K3 during the recent WPX-CW test.  This was 
the first contest ever operated with no interference between adjacent 
station. Well there were a few guys on top of each other.  Looking at 
the band map I see a contact every 300 Hz up the band.  There were 
few station I could not copy but that was my poor operating.  They 
were workable by an expert cw op.  Only one station was too 
loud!  But I could still slide off his freq by 300Hz and copy 
another.  The ICOM756P3 could hear most of the weaker signals but 
those were totally trashed by the AGC chopping from adjacent signals.

I am anxious to try a RTTY contest with this signal slicer.  This was 
really a pleasure to operate the K3 and this is from a guy who is not 
a CW person.  I do it but am not really happy with it.  The noise on 
40 and 80 was much more tolerable.  I should have about 285000 points.

Well Done Elecraft!!!  The money spent was well worth it!!  Those on 
the waiting list eat your hearts out!! at least there is not too many 
contests this summer.

Just Kidding !!  I hope your's comes in the brown truck tomorow.
